Strong to the Finish

Annie has always had a passion to help others through health and fitness as early as she can remember.

Annie received a BS in Kinesiology with a concentration in fitness programming from Liberty University in 2008 and in 2011 earned a diploma in Massage Therapy from Miller Motte Technical College. She is a nationally and state certified massage therapist through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Prior to massage, Annie worked in an orthopedic physical therapy facility, where she provided aid to physical therapists, and created individualized exercise prescription for her clientele as well as for groups in weight loss training and conditioning. She has worked with athletes, post therapy patients, employees and peers in providing instruction, motivation, and support to help each individual reach their personal goals.

There is more to it than just being physically healthy and massage has taught her this.

Annie’s involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes over the years has created opportunities for her to work with and coach high school and college level athletes – leading her to understanding how an active lifestyle enhances not only the person’s physical health but their mental and emotional health as well.

Annie has always been interested in both exercise and massage and their role in enhancing one’s physical, mental, and emotional health. It was through the recovery process of a serious back injury that Annie’s passion for massage therapy developed. Visits to the chiropractor, along with therapeutic massage, helped heal her body. Annie was so encouraged by this that she knew she wanted to offer this same encouragement to others and be a part of their healing process. She is experienced in chair, relaxation, therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, orthopedic, prenatal, compassionate touch, and hot stone massage.

Teaching something she loves!

One of Annie’s greatest passions has been teaching others about massage therapy as an instructor for a technical college where she finds great joy and fulfillment.  She instructs her students in the areas of kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, therapeutic massage, and sports massage. Annie uses her own personal training, teaching, and massage knowledge to bring an intentional and professional focus and treatment to each client.
